I’m very excited about hte Sox being in the World Series- and up two games!! And last night I started my first pair of socks for my dad for Christmas. The yarn is the alpaca twist that I bought at Rhinebeck. The pattern I’m working off of is Thuja from Knitty Winter 2005. It is a seed stitch rib, and it looks like it will knit up pretty fast. I am trying very hard to finish all pairs for my Christmas presents and in general. I have about 2 inches so far:
That huge ball of yarn is the entire hank. I am hoping to get four socks out of it. We’ll see how it goes. Here’s a close up:
The yarn is so gorgeous! And so soft! And it’s going to be really hard not to keep these socks for myself (other than the fact that they are going to be too large). After Christmas, I will have to make myself a pair of socks- maybe with more colorful yarn.
I still need to start one more project to continue my three at a time pace! These socks are perfect T knitting and will be even better when I have made a larger dent in the ball of yarn!
